Material Meditations

In Material Meditations, I explore the act of creation itself.

Inspired by the Zen tradition of the Ensō, where monks express their inner states through spontaneous, circular ink brushstrokes, these paintings capture the rhythm and flow of my own creative process. Brushes and rollers glide in fluid, dance-like motions, over the canvas, helping me enter a state of deep presence— a trance-like state that some might call being in the ‘flow’ or in the ‘here and now.’

For me, the process and the final piece are inseparable and form a unified whole. Each stroke, each trace on the canvas, and every imprint left behind is just as important as the movement that brought it into being.
